Welcome !!

Mission Statement
The
mission of GLAMS
is to promote scholarship, camaraderie, and peer support among graduate
students within the linguistics department at Montclair State
University; to provide a forum for discussion of issues of relevance
and concern to graduate students; and to represent the student body to
the faculty. In essence, we are hoping to develop a sense of community
here at Montclair State University. Together, we’re all GLAMS!
In
order to accomplish our mission, we will hold at least one event every
semester, such
as a guest speaker or a social event. All graduate students are welcome
and encouraged
to attend!
In
addition, GLAMS will also send out a weekly newsletter known as the
GLAMS Gloss. The GLAMS Gloss provides students with important
information regarding current job opportunities in linguistics,
upcoming events taking place in the department, and interesting new
research.
Membership and Participation
Membership
to
GLAMS
and
participation
in
our
events is open to (and FREE) for any
