The NCES Academic Library Survey online "Compare Academic Libraries" tool currently has the 2008 data availalbe at: http://nces.ed.gov/surveys/libraries/compare/index.asp?LibraryType=Academic. The Comparison Tool allows you to run a comparison on your library's data against other academic libraries by Carnegie Classification, FTE, services, and other variables. You can also choose the specific library that you want to compare your library against. This session will show how libraries across the United States use this NCES ALS Comparison Tool for assessment.
