Notes:

The Diamond Alkali (Occidental Chemical Plant) on Lister Avenue, Newark, is found on the maps of the Harrison Reach.

The original site of Acquackanonck Landing is found on the map of East Rutherford. The landing was located in the present-day city of Passaic on the west bank of the river.  The center of the landing was located at the approximate junction of Gregory Avenue and River Drive.  The Erie Railroad line running south past the landing was the original route of the Paterson and Hudson River Railroad and dates to 1832 - 1834.  This railroad line was later removed to accomodate New Jersey Route 21.
