Now That We Have Completed The First Two Weeks of the Class ...

Dear Students:

During the first two weeks of class I accept HW assignments up to 24 hours late, for partial credit (C instead of A).

That period is now past. No more late HW assignments will be accepted for credit.

If you can't make the deadline, you must get approval from me first. I'll always make adjustments for special circumstances.

During the first 2 weeks of class, I try to send assignments back if they do not meet the guidelines:

• not on topic
• not of at lesat the required length
• in wrong format:, such as: materials other than just HW in message area; not in Plain Text Only; no blank line between the paragraph
• with wrong subject line

Beginning today I won't do this any more.

• If your assignment is NOT of the required length, I won't tell you. You simply won't get credit for it.
  • It's up to you to make sure first.
• If your assignment is NOT "on topic", I will tell you -- eventually. But NOT in time for you to do it again.

If your assignment has the wrong subject line -- a "Re:" in front of your last name, the wrong class date, the year -- I won't send it back to you.

But you will not get credit for that assignment.

It's your responsibility to make sure you have the correct subject line.

If your HW assignment has any writing in the message area OTHER than your HW -- for example, your name, a title, the class, the date, etc. -- I won't accept it for credit.

ONLY the HW assignment should be in the message area of your email.

If your HW assignment is not in the proper format: Plain Text Only, blank line between paragraphs -- I won't accept it for credit.

You will get an A for every HW assignment that is:

• on time
• on topic
• of at least the required length.
• in the proper format
• with the proper subject line.

Please double-check your HW assignments before you send them in, to make sure you do all this.

It's your responsibility.
