5. Education v. “Schooling”
Even in industrialized societies many vital skills learned outside of formal schooling.
Western-style formal education established by imperialists to train an elite to help them “administer” -- that is, exploit and oppress -- the masses.
Therefore, educated people looked on with great suspicion, as “traitors”, accomplices of the Imperialists, as well as with some envy for their higher standard of living.
