After listening to the lecture several times, and referring to the Web Page / handout, write 350-400 words on this essay.

Discuss, thoughtfully, some of the issues raised in it.

These issues include the following, but you should choose others as well:

• Imperialism: have you learned about it previously in your education? What have you learned about it?
• How might the "winning of the West" from the Native Americans be viewed differently in the light of the antiimperialist paradigm?
• How might the wars in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Libya (2000s) and Vietnam (1960s - 1975) be interpreted
  • if viewed in the light of this Imperialist paradigm?
  • if viewed in the light of the Anti-Imperialist paradigm?
