Read these chapters after you have completed the readings and assignments on imperialism.
Pay special attention to Chapter 3. This chapter discusses the transition between the French and the United States in Vietnam. Thereafter the war in Vietnam was the "American war."
Outline two interpretations of the events in Chapter 3: one using the "Cold War Paradigm", and one using the "Anti-Imperialist Paradigm." Write about 150-175 words on each.
In a final paragraph, draw whatever conclusions you think appropriate.
