How To Inform Me That You Will Be (or Are) Absent from Class

Email me with the following subject line:

LASTNAME Class-Abbreviation Date of Absence  Absent

Let's say

• your last name is Johnson;
• the class is Chaucer, so
• the class abbreviation is CHAU
• the date you will be (or are) absent is November 10.

Your subject line would look like this:

Johnson  CHAU  Nov. 10  Absent

or,

Johnson CHAU 11/10 Absent

That way I can easily find it and record your "excused absence" date at the end of the course, when I record the grades.
