Progress report to students re online classes Monday, March 16.2020
Grover Furr, English Department, Montclair State University
Dear students:
I hope you are all coping and adapting!
The real reason for the extended break is to allow us, the faculty, to get our
classes on line.
That involves some instruction, some learning. In short, "Education for us
educators"! Not a bad idea at all!
I'll be back in touch at some point this week, once I get things set up for us
for the remainder of the semester.
Meanwhile, here's the arrangement for HW this week: * Do it! It's on our HW page. * Deadline for both assignments to me: Sunday, March 22, 11:59 p.m. After that, it won't count. * Please put the ORIGINAL DATE on the subject line: March 17 and March 19. That way, I can file and record them accurately. One more thing: * Please EMAIL YOUR GROUP. That's the ONLY way I can make sure that EVERYONE in your class has been contacted, or has read his/her email from me, etc. |
More later in the week.
This transition to online class is going to be easy. Stay calm!
Keep studying and reading. THAT hasn't changed.
Sincerely,
Grover Furr
English Department
