Please read Christopher Hill, "Levellers and True Levellers", available on Canvas. This gives essential historical background about the Levellers, etc.

Then, please study the following three documents:

• A Light Shining in Buckinghamshire
• More Light Shining in Buckinghamshire
• Gerrard Winstanley, "The Law of Freedom in a Platform". Study just the first three sections of this last work: "To His Excellency Oliver Cromwell"; "To the Friendly and Unbiased Reader", and Chapter I.

Writing Assignment: Please write 350 words.

What was the program of the Levellers, specifically? Use these three documents as your evidence, and refer at least twice to Hill's essay.
