Research Pages and On-Line Journals

     This assignment is in several parts.

     1. Research Pages

     Check out 

Martindale's
'The Reference Desk'>;
 'Ask Jeeves';
 My
Yahoo Internet Life - Reference Sites;
 My Virtual Reference Desk;
 Encyclopedia Brittanica Internet
Reference.

     2. Go to TWO search engines; search for "reference" and
"research", or "research page", etc. 

     Go through the sites you find until you have at least TWO sites
that are useful for academic reference purposes (i.e. no 'movie
stars', 'sports', or other popular reference sites -- sites oriented
to academic and research matters only, please!).

Writing assignment:

     Please write 150-200 words about FOUR sites -- two from part 1
above, and two which you found in part 2.

     3. On-Line Journals

     Using the Search Engines and Reference sites you have found, and
are becoming skilled in using, find THREE SITES which you think useful
for locating ON-LINE JOURNALS.

     Writing assignment:

     Write about 100-150 words on these sites.
