Assigment on Carlos Bulosan's essay "Freedom From Want"

Read Bulosan's essay here.

Notice that it was published in the Saturday Evening Post, a major American magazine.

Read the essay on it by Martin Magnaye. Read the Wikipedia article on President Franklin D. Roosevelt's famous "Four Freedoms" speech of January, 1941.

Look carefully at the paitings by Norman Rockwell that were commissioned at the same time as the essays.

• Rockwell's interpretation of "Freedom From Want".

Rockwell's interpretation of "Freedom From Want" is very different from that of Carlos Bulosan.

Write 300 - 350 words comparing and contrasting Bulosan's essay with Rockwell's painting.
