Read this second part carefully, in the translation I have assigned you, the fine Everyman's Library translation, very faithful to the original and also very readable.
Part II begins with Vv. 2293 and ends before the paragraph beginning "Vv. 4580 - Vv. 6598". This is p. 27 of the PDF'd edition here.
(But as long as you use the W.W. Comfort translation you'll be all right.)
Again, be sure to consult the "End Notes." They begin on p. 41 of the PDF'd edition. You may find some of them helpful.
Study this second part carefully.
Note the battles. Ask yourself:
Look at the relationship between Erec and Enide. Find the passage, towards the beginning of this part, where we are told that this relationship is not what it should be. How does Erec go about correcting it?
Written Assignment: Write 350 words or a little more identifying and interpreting the main medieval literary motifs which we've discussed.
