ASSIGNMENT ON Piers Plowman Prolog and Books One through Three Please read these selections. Then, pick one book. Read it carefully again. Discuss the conflict in that book. Try not to summarize it, but instead try to analyze it. You may discuss the social criticism; or, the "ideology" or values set forth by the Narrator in your passage; or, you may want to relate your passage to social or economic change. Whatever you do, try not to generalize too much. Rather, be as specific as you can in analyzing parts of the book. Cite a few examples to illustrate your analysis. Prepare your answer so that you can explain it clearly and well, in several separate statements, during your IRC discussion. Long statements, or paragraphs, do not work well in IRC, but one-two sentence statements do.
