Assignment on Argueta, One Day of Life

Please read two articles:

• Ray Bonner from The New York Times, 1982 (go to a facsimile of the original article) and
• Colman McCarthy from The Washington Post, 1993.

Then, please write 300 words comparing the portrayal of the role of Americans in Argueta's novel to the way it is portrayed in Bonner's and McCarthy's articles from the press.
