* I present these eight themes or topics to you at the beginning of the course. You'll find them in these and many, many other novels and literature from formerly colonial countries.

** I will post  the assignments at the end of the previous class, so you can do them on time. When you have done an assignment, you can delete the message I sent you giving you that assignment, because you'll always be able to find it here if you sho uld ever want it again.
