Using the Molecular Devices Test Plate to Calibrate the Spectramax Reader.

 

 

1. Software for the test plate must be installed on the control computer before the plate can be used.

 

If the plate is new, or has been re-certified since the last calibration, the new absorbance values must be entered in the calibration software.

 

2. Open the Spectramax software.

 

3. Under the ASSAYS menu option, select TEST PLATE.

 

4. READ THE DIRECTIONS, these are found in the introductory remarks in Experiment 1.

 

5. If necessary, enter the new absorbance values in the Experiment 1 section called CERTINFO.

 

6. Under the heading for Experiment 2, click to highlight the first section after the introduction. Instructions for performing the procedure are found in the introduction. Click on START to begin.

 

7. Repeat for Experiment 3.

 

8. Results are automatically moved into the RESULTS section found under Experiment 1. They must be saved before exiting.

 

9. Sign and date the instrument logbook, file the results as directed by your instructor.
