The Sprague Library subscribes to resources which provide articles from scholarly business journals, trade journals and popular publications in addition to market analysis, SWOT reports and financial data for industries and companies. The main resources are described below.

Journal Indexes:
- Business Source Premier:
A business research database that contains articles from over 2,300 journals.
It also contains SWOT analyses, industry profiles, market research reports and
company profiles for thousands of companies. Country reports are also available.
- ABI/Inform:
Lists the contents of over 2,800 publications, with more than 1,920 available in full text.
18,000 full-text doctoral dissertations and master’s theses are also available.
- Leisure and Tourism Database:
An index to articles in the fields of leisure, tourism, hospitality and recreation.
Company Information:
- Mergent Online:
Lists 15 years of financials for over 10,000 companies.
Twenty one different ratios are included along with many other data points.
Data can be downloaded and then imported into spreadsheets for analysis or
creation of industry-wide reports.
- LexisNexis Academic:
Business allows the creation of lists of companies for comparison and also contains profiles of many companies along with their SEC filings.
News gives access to hundreds of newspapers from around the world including a wide selection of business publications.
Legal gives access to US State & Federal laws along with many court decisions.
It also provides legal information regarding Canada and the European Union.

Extensive database of companies in the United States, Canada and around the world.
Well-suited for creating lists of companies. Custom lists can be created by location,
ZipCode, SIC or NAICS codes, company size, income and a variety of other factors.
Information available includes: Company addresses, names of major officers,
company profits, number of employees and more.
Osiris:
Contains financial information on 53,000 listed and major unlisted & delisted companies worldwide.
42,000 of these companies are outside the U.S.
The information includes: standardised and "as reported" financials (including restated reports),
SEC filings, detailed earnings estimates including recommendations, ownership, stock data, news and ratings.

Contains information on Mergers & Acquisitions, IPO and venture capital deals with links to
detailed financial company information. ZEPHYR has five years of global coverage
and includes information about 500,000 deals dating back to 1997.
