Dr. Michelle Zhu is currently a professor and the associate director for faculty at the School of Computing at Montclair State University. Before joining Montclair, she was an associate professor and the director of the undergraduate program in the Department of Computer Science at Southern Illinois University Carbondale. Dr. Michelle Zhu completed her dissertation within the Computer Science and Mathematics division at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL). Her research interests include parallel and distributed computing, as well as big data analytics. She has authored approximately 150 peer-reviewed articles in various journals and conferences. Dr. Zhu’s research is supported by several funding agencies, including the NSF, DOE, ORNL, Illinois State Board of Education, and Nvidia.
