There is so much that can be said with a simple handshake. A firm handshake can tell a person you are interested in meeting him or her whereas a mere extension of the hand can tell a person you could care less. Eye contact is also a good indication of interest and goes hand and hand with the handshake (no pun intended). A greeting without eye contact can be interpreted as rude or insincere.
